FEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS

TUITION FEES

The tuition fees to be paid by each student for the entire master's degree are:

  • 9000 € in total for EU students.
  • 18000 € in total for non-EU students.

NOTE!

  • It will be considered as EU student or student from Programme Countries all students from EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme as referred in the Erasmus+ Guide: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, France, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, North Macedonia, Serbia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey.

    It will be considered as non-EU student or student from Partner Countries all students from third countries not associated to the Programme as referred in the Erasmus+ page

  • Tuition fees, including registration, administration, awarding of diplomas and European Diploma Supplement.
  • Expenses for materials necessary for the normal development of the compulsory subjects, seminars, and internships.
  • Registration of the student as a regular student at the UBU and HAW, and as a mobility student at the selected universities.
  • Health (PDF 217 KB), civil liability, accident, and assistance insurance.
  • Living expenses, including maintenance, accommodation, or travel costs associated with mobilities (specialization,, welcome week, summer school, Final Master Project and graduation).
  • Expenses for stationery, books and additional material that is not provided in the normal course of teaching.
  • Re-examination fees, late registration fees and extending the registration beyond the standard duration of the Master Programme
  • Support expenses for people with special needs. See the Services section of this website to find out how to manage these expenses in case of need.

EMaCS students will handle fees through the University of Burgos, the coordinating institution. Self-funded students will adhere to the outlined payment schedule, while scholarship recipients will authorize the deduction of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship from their fees by signing the applicable Student Agreement.

ERASMUS MUNDUS SCHOLARSHIPS

When applying for EMaCS, candidates will have to choose whether they wish to apply for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or whether they prefer to be a self-funded student.

All countries are eligible for the Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

The application, selection, and admission procedures, as well as the eligibility requirements and admission criteria, are the same for all scholarship or self-funded candidates, with the sole exception that, in order to be eligible for the scholarship, the following conditions must be fulfilled:

  • Not having been previously granted an Erasmus Mundus Master's or PhD scholarship.
  • Not be a beneficiary of another EU-funded scholarship Programme for the same purpose, i.e., to jointly cover the EMaCS programme tuition fees.
  • Do not carry out a salaried activity.

All scholarship holders are given 1400 € per month, to be paid to the student for the 24 months of the EMaCS programme in order to be devoted full time and exclusively to the successful completion of the study programme. This scholarship amount covers subsistence, installation, travel, and a fee-waiver for programme costs. EMaCS scholarship holders are exempt from paying tuition fees.

EMACS scholarships will be awarded to the best candidates, in accordance with the eligibility and selection criteria and procedures set out on this website and under the Student Agreement (PDF 1 MB) section that can be found in the Library section.

The total number of students enrolled per edition will be 25, of which 12 will be scholarship.

OTHER FUNDING

If you have not been awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship from the EMaCS programme, you can still consult the European Funding Guide or the study portals.

 

INSURANCE

The EMaCS master's program offers comprehensive insurance coverage, including:

  • General Coverage: The Consortium provides insurance coverage for damages or injuries that may occur in university buildings during the program.
  • Liability Coverage: Students are required to have third-party liability insurance to cover damages they may inadvertently cause to individuals or their properties, in accordance with national legislation.
  • Health Insurance: Throughout the entire EMaCS program, students will have health insurance that meets the minimum requirements outlined in the Erasmus Mundus guidelines (PDF 217 KB). This coverage includes urgent medical care for sickness or accidents, death, pregnancy and childbirth, permanent invalidity, third-party liability, theft and loss of documents, or early return due to a serious illness or accident affecting a close family member.
  • Information and Confirmation: Students will receive detailed terms of the health insurance well in advance of the first academic year. This information will be provided upon confirmation of registration, allowing students to review it carefully before signing the Student Agreement (PDF 1 MB) and completing their program enrollment.
