JOINT ACTIVITIES

WELCOME WEEKEND

During the first weekend at the start of each academic year, a mandatory two-day virtual event will welcome all EMaCS students. This event aims to provide comprehensive details about EMaCS, including its structure, participating entities, program details with mobility information, legal requirements, evaluation procedures, internships, Final Master Project, available student services, and institution-specific information points to address queries directly.

In the mobility periods, the International Relations Service of each institution will invite EMaCS students to on-campus welcoming days for international students. These events, held at the beginning of each semester, focus on facilitating students' understanding and integration into the respective University Community and its surroundings. Attendance at these conferences is also mandatory.

SUMMER SCHOOL

The Summer School stands out as an essential and exhilarating component of the EMaCS journey, uniting students from diverse universities to cultivate a vibrant sense of community. Rotating among different partners each year and commencing at UBU, this enriching experience unfolds at the close of the first year. It offers a distinctive platform for students to delve into crucial themes of social justice, equity, and inclusion within the computer world. Moreover, it facilitates exploration of avant-garde practices at the European level and encourages collaborative discussions on individual proposals for the Final Master project.

Participation in the Summer School is compulsory for all enrolled students and is encompassed within the Consortium's participation costs. However, accommodation and half-board expenses are the responsibility of the students.

This immersive experience not only deepens academic understanding but also fosters a dynamic network among peers from different backgrounds. Students gain exposure to diverse perspectives, cutting-edge practices, and emerging trends in the field. Furthermore, it provides a unique space for collaborative idea-sharing and refining individual project proposals.

In case of unavoidable circumstances hindering attendance, students are required to promptly inform the EMaCS Coordinator with proper justification. Those unable to attend will be expected to participate in the subsequent EMaCS course's Summer School, ensuring they don't miss out on this invaluable experience. At the end of the second semester (mid-July), all students will participate in this mandatory, face-to-face event.

GRADUATION

In a festive culmination to the EMaCS journey, the graduation ceremony awaits all students in July at the end of the fourth semester. It's a momentous occasion to revel in the successful completion of the program and applaud outstanding achievements, including the recognition of the top graduate and the best Final Master Project of the year.

Immerse yourself in this celebratory event, held at the Coordinating Institution, with all expenses covered. Let's mark your accomplishments and create lasting memories as you step into a new chapter!
