SECOND YEAR (60 ECTS)
FIRST SEMESTER (30 ECTS)
The first semester of the Master's in Computer Science (EMaCS) provides students with a comprehensive introduction to advanced topics in artificial intelligence, information systems, integrated systems, consumer ethics, and advanced methods in engineering management. They will acquire a variety of competences that will give them a solid foundation in key areas of computer science, including:
- Knowledge in Artificial and Bioinspired Intelligence.
- Skills in Information Management.
- Competencies in Integrated Systems and IoT.
- Ethical and Sustainable Awareness.
- Knowledge in Advanced Engineering Management Methods.
- Practical Skills in Programming and Application of AI Algorithms.
- Ability to Analyze and Apply Emerging Trends.
All students enrolled in EMaCS will attend the first semester in:
(SPAIN)
Operational and Business Intelligence.
SECOND SEMESTER (30 ECTS)
This second semester offers students a diverse and specialized experience, addressing key areas in computer science and preparing them to tackle advanced challenges in the digital era. The acquired competencies span from the design of adaptive systems and mixed reality applications to the secure implementation of infrastructures and the application of advanced techniques in the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.
Students will choose the entity where they wish to carry out the mobility of 30 ECTS from among the following options.
(GERMANY)
Autonomous and Intelligent Systems
(ROMANIA)
Cloud and Edge Computing
In mid-July, the Summer School will take place, hosted in each edition by a different partner, with the first one at UBU. All registered students, regardless of their mobilities, will attend this face-to-face event with the following objectives:
- To foster a sense of community among them.
- To delve into issues related to social justice, equity, and inclusion in the computer world.
- To be in contact with the most innovative practices in this field at the European level.
THIRD SEMESTER (30 ECTS)
The third semester of the EMaCS program introduces an advanced focus on cybersecurity and data science, providing students with a deep understanding of defensive and offensive strategies in the cybersecurity realm, as well as advanced skills in the field of data analytics. This semester is structured around various specialized modules that encompass everything from cyber threat intelligence to advanced machine learning and effective data analysis practices.
Depending on the chosen path, students will acquire advanced competencies in cyber threat intelligence, strengthening defenses, and designing customized models. Additionally, they will develop skills in defensive cybersecurity, implementing solutions, and fortifying systems. They will also specialize in advanced topics in machine learning and practical data analysis, equipping them to lead and apply advanced approaches in real-world projects.
Students will choose the entity where they wish to carry out the mobility of 30 ECTS from among the following options.
FOURTH SEMESTER – FINAL MASTER PROJECT (30 ECTS)
The fourth semester will focus on the development of the Master's Final Project, supervised by a tutor and, optionally, co-tutors. All program students will work on this project to showcase the advanced knowledge acquired during the master's program. It is recommended that the thesis be related to the practical activities of internships or laboratory subjects and have a practical approach. Students have the option to undertake it as an optional mobility and can choose the Consortium entity where they wish to carry out their Master's Final Project.
In July, at the end of the fourth semester, all students shall attend the graduation ceremony in order to celebrate the successful completion of EMaCS and honour the best graduate of the cohort as well as the best Final Master Project of the year.
